Greetings to JCI members, partners and friends from all over the world!
It is my great pleasure to address you once again, this time after completing four area conferences and Global Partnership Summit of JCI.
In the last couple of months, I have gotten to see many of you, not only during my travels to 40 countries so far this year, but also at the four Area Conferences. These conferences joined us together as regions to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement on an international level, find motivation to continue the momentum of positive change and connect with one another for greater impact and strengthened relationships.
- from the dynamic Regional Partnership Summit and live performance of the 100th Anniversary song “Time to Celebrate” and "Team One"
- to the Carnival atmosphere of Cochabamba and JCI Morning Show and Impact Talks initiated during the conferences
- to the Smile’n Run in Istanbul that raised awareness for JCI Operation Hope and International Corporate Social Responsibility Awards finalized with international participation
- to the Best Practice Sharing session of National Organizations and big Gala Night where we celebrated together our 100th Years of Impact at Kota Kinabalu
At each conference, I had the privilege to share with and learn from hundreds of young active citizens who are passionate about positive change in their communities.
One of the other major events in the second quarter of this year has been my appointment of Arrey Obenson as JCI Secretary General. I am confident that he will continue to support our leadership team and JCI members to advance JCI forward into the next 100 years of impact. We are incredibly grateful for his service. Thank you for your outpouring support for him.
There are some very exciting events happening during this period such as JCI Global Partnership Summit and Unveiling of the JCI Monument. I will be sharing a special post for this events separately.
One important day for all of us is October 13th 2015. We are celebrating the JCI’s 100th Anniversary throughout the year, and I hope that each one of you and your Local Organization are creating ways to celebrate this momentous event. Please save the date for Global Watch Party. During this days I will be in St.Louis Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our First Local Organization with local members. I encourage you to consider preparing a gathering or event for the same day where you may bring together our active members, senators, seniors and alumni to reconnect as well as to celebrate together all achievements of our organization. JCI Headquarters Team is working on a documentary that will be available for that day and will be shared with your local organizations. October 13th is a special day to continue our celebration and prepare for biggest activity that will happen in World Congress in Kanazawa, Japan.
I must always conclude with my thanks to the thousands and thousands of dedicated, passionate young active citizens around the world who are finding creative solutions to the many challenges of our time. I give you my sincere appreciation. Keep smiling and commit, connect and care for the future of JCI and our world as we celebrate 100 years of impact in 2015.
