Dear Fellow JCI Senators,
It is my great privilege to greet you as the 2016 JCI Senate Chairperson. I am anticipating an exciting year as we seek to strengthen and develop this worldwide network of outstanding individuals who have meritoriously demonstrated their commitment to JCI throughout the years. After serving JCI members as the 2015 JCI President, I cannot forget all the impactful projects, I witnessed and the ways in which members were acting to unite with all sectors of society to build a sustainable impact.
The JCI commitment to positive change is increasing every day, and I am proud to have seen so many members working in such a special year. In 2015, we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement, had chance to learn more about our history, share our story with our partners, and discuss how we will be building together a better future.
Our members, as was in the past, showcased leading examples of initiating projects that are solutions for the challenges. Yet there is remaining work to be done, which cannot be accomplished without the strong support of JCI Senators. Global Goals for Sustainable Impact are our common goals for the future, and as we move forward to be the organization that unites all sectors of society, we will see that this goals become really every single day that we just act accordingly.
I would like to congratulate you for your JCI Senatorship, which honors your years of outstanding service to our organization. Thank you for being a leading examples of empowered young men who had opportunity to develop themselves in this organization. Now more than ever, we need your support as we encourage our members to act by inspiring and sharing our stories and achievements. I would ask that you continue providing service to humanity, because we know it is the best work of life. During our time as JCI members and now as JCI Senators, we have learned best practices, conducted projects based our communities’ needs, and led our organizations to focus on impact. As we reach the age of 40, we must pass on what we gained during our time as JCI members to the younger members, so that they too may have the opportunity to bring creative solutions to issues and join JCI as active citizens invested in their communities.
Each of us as a JCI Senator are an integral part of JCI as a whole. I would like to encourage all Senators to take their position in the organization with a perspective of a mentor, who is ready to bring the experience as well as guide the active members in process of providing development opportunities that empower them. You have the opportunity to develop our organization as you support JCI members, connect with alumni, external partners and spread the word of JCI.
As we strive to be the organization that unites all sectors of society to create sustainable impact, our way forward is not possible without you. Therefore I ask you, in 2016, to continue this legacy of service and impact and Just Act for the future of JCI and better world.
I hope to see you all in Area Conferences in Punta del Este, Johannesburg, Kaohsiung, Tampere, and in World Congress in Quebec!
2016 JCI Senate Chairperson
